I love to cook. If something can be done by scratch, I jump for it. I'm realizing that I love to make soups - it makes such a great meal!
My brother tipped me off to this one: African Sweet Potato and Peanut Soup! It screams fall to me, but I love it all year round! It does take a long time to make, but it's so worth it! I'm making it right now, and I made a double batch so I could freeze the other half. Yummy!
I get a lot of my recipes from http://www.allrecipes.com/. It's a great site that anyone can upload time-tested recipes from people who are just like you. You can even search by ingredient!
